Volume 1, Episode 1: Act Of Sedition

Marcus Kane, commander of the TDF Pegasus is taking part in an assault on a resistance outpost on the planet Phrygia. It doesn't take him long to realise that there are no Resistance fighters present - the only casualties are civilians. Kane tries to stand up to his superior officer, Admiral Lakita Hayes, but a standoff ensues. This comes to an end when Colonel Iliana Fox, Kane's XO, follows the Admiral's orders to relieve Kane of Command, leaving Kane bitter over his first officer's betrayal.

Kane spends a week in a military facility where he eventually learns he is to be executed. Although he comes to terms with it, and is prepared to die for his morals, he is rescued at the eleventh hour by a small group of Resistance fighters. A daring escape led by Alan Wade sees Kane escape aboard a transport piloted by Daniel Carter. Together they barely escape the pursuit of the fleet and make the jump away from Athenia...
