"What are you listening to" for cinema films :p

Just got back from The Bourne Ultimatum. Awesome film. Best of the three so far (though as with its predecessors, is so totally untrue to the books....and i haven't even read them! Well i've read a tiny bit of the book this is based on)

First, lol to cinema. (Always find what's popular (name wise) in different countries funny)

Last thing I saw was Rush Hour 3. Not as good as #2, but as good as #1 IMO. I liked it, definitely some very funny parts. Jacki Chan needed better writers, though, they gave all the funny stuff to Chris Tucker. Still, he had his moments.

Actually, people where I live use the word cinema quite a bit. Probably because the two biggest local theatres are named Cinema-something-or-other.

Last thing I saw in theatres was Stardust, though I've been watching plenty of DVDs at home.

True, true. How was stardust, btw? Looked a bit... bleh... from the previews?

That's what I was thinking when I saw the previews, too... Still, it was one of the few things coming out this summer that wasn't a sequel or a threequel or a remake of something. Was actually pretty funny, though a bit predictable, as all epic fantasy quests tend to be (and it could have used a touch more 'epic'). I'd suggest people go see it just for the role Robert DeNiro plays - it is hilarious.

There's still some good films yet to come out this year.
To name a few off the top of my head:

Day Watch (It came out ealier in the us i believe)
Resident Evil: Extinction
Saw 4

Okay, Saw 4! I stopped watching after the first one, but saw specifically the he got his head chopped off (or something along those lines) in the last one (it happens when you work in a movie theater). There are a lot better undead murders I'd rather watch (Jason, Freddy, Michael Myers) than him. Oh, but on a tangent, the New Halloween does look promising. Resident evil looks to be a flop. First one was pretty good, didn't really care for the second, doubt I'll see the third.

T - DeNiro the skypirate was one of the major reasons I didn't see it, that and there didn't seem to be any suitably heroic or villainus types in there. (And the whole falling star thing made it seem a bit of a kiddy movie, but I could be wrong!)

Should be some good ones coming out around Christmas. :)

Well, I'll keep that on the good list. (BUT they had better do a better job on the Predators than they did in the first one! Made them appear to be such wimps, when they're actually the toughest aliens around. And cut back drastically on the humans... or remove them entirely)

It has a really weak plot. But the trailer alone has about 100 deaths :)

Well, ummm, it's a remake of an 80s horror movie... plot may not be the biggest draw. Still, the original was more intriguing plot-wise than a lot of horror movies.
