Jake is the son of Aaron & Catherine Stryker, and the older brother to Abigail Stryker. Jake has always been protective of his little sister, who is seven years younger than him.

Jake has always been interested in ancient mythology and history, hence his choice to study it at university. Jake is also a keen martial artist having studied several different fighting styles, and is proficient at using a variety of traditional melee and ranged weaponry, including swords & bows.

Jake did not become aware of his abilities or heritage until they manifested itself during a fight. ( Episode I). He was soon discovered by Chris Angelus, and together with Erin Ambrose, they choose to stand up and fight Morgan Slade's plans for world domination.

During the conflict, Jake was blown up, impaled and finally killed in a confrontation with Morgan Slade. Later, he is mysteriously & inexplicably ressurrected, to the shock of his family, friends and onlookers.

Soon after, he married his lifelong friend Miranda and together they had a daughter, Roxana.

Five years after the conflict with Morgan Slade, his son Damien appears and mounts his own bid for supremacy, after years of careful planning. Near the end of the conflict, Damien kidnaps Miranda & Roxana, sending Jake on a blind warpath. He eventually rescues them, and insists on putting his family first in future, and "saving the world" a distant second...
